I recently noticed a construction project at 9560 Watson, aka Sappington Square (where San Jose restaurant and Starbucks are located). Then I remembered that this is the installation of new Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations. To my knowledge, these will be the first publicly available stations in Crestwood.
I spoke with the installation crew from Reinhold Electric and they confirmed that there will be three charging devices, each will serve two parking spaces (yep – that’s six total).
This project received approval from the Crestwood Planning and Zoning Commission back in April. A copy of their site plans can be viewed HERE.
The addition of these EV charging stations is a significant step forward in promoting sustainable transportation options within our community. It not only provides a much-needed infrastructure for electric vehicle owners but also encourages more residents to consider making the switch to electric vehicles.
