Crestwood Open House May 2

The City of Crestwood will host an Open House on Saturday, May 2 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at City Hall. This is a free, family-friendly event and a chance to get a closer look at how your city operates while meeting the people who provide those services every day... and enjoy a hot dog and snacks while you're there!

Mayor for the Day

One of the things I’m most looking forward to is a fun activity for kids.

Throughout the event, kids will have the chance to step into the role of Mayor. They’ll find their ward on a map, spend a few minutes talking with their Alderman about something happening in Crestwood, and then take part in a short swearing-in. We’ll have “Mayor for the Day” stickers available, along with a photo opportunity behind the dais in the Board of Aldermen chambers.

After being sworn in, they can then make their way around the Open House to check in with each of the City departments and see how things are going - a fun way to “make the rounds” as Mayor for the Day and get a firsthand look at the work being done across Crestwood.
