Drug Takeback Day is April 22

Did you know that prescription drugs thrown in the trash can be retrieved to be abused or illegally sold, or that drugs flushed down toilets contaminate the water supply? The drug overdose epidemic in the United States is considered a public health, public safety and national security threat.

We can help prevent and reduce medication misuse and opioid addiction by properly disposing of any unneeded medications.

Crestwood Police will again participate in the National Prescription Drug Takeback Day on Saturday April 22, from 10am – 2pm. This is a free event for communities nationwide to properly dispose of old and unneeded medications safely and anonymously.

Bring those old and unneeded medications to the Crestwood Police Department at City Hall (One Detjen Drive). Depending on the weather, they will either provide a drive-up service or place the drop-off place in the lobby. Officers will be on hand to assist you or answer any questions.
